This is
the Header— Name your Site
This is
the Left column. It might be a good place for your Index, your links or what
ever...
This
is a link
All column lengths will expand as you enter text, <br> or <p> </p> tags. Left
and Right Column widths are absolute, center column expands to fit screen.
Header and Footer are also fixed positions.
This is the Center Column. It fills the gap between the left and the right and gives you a place for text that will be easy to read.
There
are two animated gif files and a dot with this layout.
The page weighs in at 34K and loads in 10 seconds over a 28.8 modem - if text
is the only thing you add....
Here's how: First position your mouse over each of the graphics and save them to your computer. If you leave this step out and simply link to my server you'll end up with a cute little empty box and a nice red X where the graphic is supposed to be. Of course, I KNOW you wouldn't ever steal bandwidth from another site owner. So we don't have to worry about that. Right? NO!!! Shame on you!!!
Next, right click somewhere away from the graphics, choose "view source" from the dialog box then copy ALL of the text you'll see to a new page in your HTML editor. Save the new file in the same location as you saved the graphics. And, finally, carefully replace my text and links with your own.
Finally, we have the Right column. It stays to the right and gives you a place to put the stuff you want to
Note: the Style Sheet includes code for MSIE 5.5 and higher scrollbars. If you aren't using Internet Explorer, you won't see them.
