A new season. 'K. ..I know it's summer. It's JULY! How did it get to be July already? I don't think this season is just going to be about the garden though.

A vacation! A much needed vacation this week. I drove over to the Paso Robles wine country and stayed at my friend's ranch. Wow!! You want to talk about a change of pace? This was it. Wednesday afternoon - horse shoes. Thursday - a full day of horsing around, including feeding "the boys" every two hours. Friday, home again. I miss it already. The photos are all online HERE

Food and fun! Traditional start-of-the summer Holiday fare...but please... Stop for a moment and give thanks for our freedoms. This Holiday is about honoring those heroes who fought, and are fighting, so we can be free in America in 2010.

Been really, really busy during the past couple of weeks. On the 'work' side of things Three Rivers Community Service District has a new General Manager (Welcome, Jules!) and an updated look for their site. Gotta say, I'm proud of this one.

Kevin is home from Thailand...with plans to return in November. If you haven't been to check out the Turtle Tales, I highly recommend a visit. We loved hearing about the trip first hand, but you can pick up the high points on his Blog.

As Easter approaches we celebrate Holy Week. I've been working on a study for My Quiet Corner Journal. Not something you've read too much about here at the cottage yet. But something tells me it's time to share my thoughts with you.
